Magic: Gwen knows a wide variety of potions, though she has not mastered all of them. The same goes for her spell mastery.
Personality: At times, to strangers, Gwen may appear to be a bit of a spoiled girl. However, despite common beliefs once you get to know her Gwen is quite reserved. A bit of her coldness and hidden away mannerisms lend themselves to the assumption, as well. Once you get to know Gwen she is rather friendly and cheerful. She's the type of person to get easily wrapped up in her thoughts and simply just get lost in them. Not only this, but Gwen also greatly appreciates nature and can be found, rather frequently, walking around and about any any sort of trails and such. Gwen is also just a bit shy, mostly due to the fact that she typically finds herself wandering around away from everybody else. This means she is more nervous about meeting strangers and may stammer a bit when talking to them. Gwen is also quite oriented towards learning new things. This lends her quite the inquisitive manner, though she won't do as far as to stick her nose into other people's business.

History: Gwendolyn Penelope Harrington was the fourth child born into the well established young family of Margaret and Alistair Harrington. At birth she was a bit on the small side, having been born about two weeks premature. This didn't end up causing any complications, though, and little Gwen left the hospital with her mother on schedule. Upon returning home her arrival wasn't met with all that much excitement by her eldest siblings. Her brothers Julian and Sebastian had been just a bit put of at the fact that they would be sharing even more of their attention. However, Gwen's older sister took quite a liking to her, having previously been the only girl, other than their mother, in their direct family. The two bonded as they grew older, over the typical sister like gossip.
When Gwen was three years old the final child that would join their family was born, making it five children in total. Like with Elizabeth, Gwen was quite close to the newborn Graham. He was the only brother with whom she was close in age with, and didn't try to pick on or tease her. Little Gwen adored him, coming up with the nickname "Graham Cracker" for him when she was five and he was three. That was the period in which she determined the connection between her younger brother's name and her favorite snack.
As Gwen grew up her schooling in the magical arts began to expand as well, beginning with the basics. She came from a long line of witches and warlocks, on both of her parents' sides, quite a large portion of which were still alive to the day, as they lived to be about three hundred years old. She was schooled along side her elder siblings by mostly her mother, as her father worked most days. She learned basic nature controlling spells and such to begin, gradually moving from those to potions and the introduction of the darker arts. Gwen, however, practiced more of the light magic and had a tendency to begging her mother to teach her more when she was younger.
Eventually her magic work combined with the homework that came from school, creating a bit of difficulties and frustrations for Gwen to keep up with both forms of studies. As she grew older, though Gwen learned the balance of both schoolings. Now, at her current age Gwen has mastered a great deal of her magical abilities. She is also still quite close to Lizzie and Graham, while holding a more tentative relationship with her eldest brothers, who were never a truly key part in her young life.
